Kodomo Inc. was founded by Hisako Nakamura who began working in the Japanesetoy industry in the early 1970's.
In 1983 she founded her own gift company and began selling rubber stamps.
The name, Kodomo Inc., symbolizes a Japanese expression "KODOMO NO KAO" which means "the look on a young person's face when they are absorbed in play".
